Below is a list of activities held on the farm for family day.  Please let us know what you liked and what you want to see more of!

For the Kids:

  • Tipi Lore inside a real tipi with Katie (age appropriate)
  • Maraca making with dried gourds
  • Autumn Field Scavenger Hunt (age appropriate)
  • Turkey feeding and turkey games

For the Grownups:

  • Afternoon in the Life of a Farmer
  • Hoe and Harvest

Followed by a Harvest Potluck.

To sign up, click here.  The Academic Share runs for 8 weeks, from Sept 6 – Oct 27.  This share is perfect for students or professors coming back to campus, or for anyone curious about CSA-CNY who wants to try out becoming a shareholder without the commitment of a full season.  Enjoy the final 8 weeks of the season, including the full bounty of the farm’s fall harvest, as well as shareholder events such as Family Day at the Farm on Sept 17 and the Fall Potluck at the end of October.

Also available this year, we will be offering Winter Shares to keep you well fed through the winter months until next year’s Spring and Full Season Shares!  More info to come…

Join us at the 1st ever NOFA-NY CSA Fair in Syracuse to learn about CSAs, meet local farmers, sign up for a CSA membership, and take part in family-friendly and fun educational sessions.  Mini-workshops will be offered on topics such as “How CSA Works,” “Cooking with the Seasons,” and “Food Storage Tips.”  There will also be activities for the kids!  The event is free and open to everyone.  Hope to see you there!
